Story
A child who writes to the zoo asking for a pet. The zoo sends a series of animals, each more unsuitable than the last – a too-big elephant, a too-tall giraffe, and even a too-grumpy camel! Can the zookeepers help find the perfect pet?

Lifting the flaps to see which animals the zoo has sent has enthralled young children for nearly 40 years and the story is still a favourite with children today.
