Katie Morag continues to be popular with children today, over 30 years since the first book was published. The detailed illustrations capture all the little things that make up island life.

The children were really able to empathise with Katie Morag in this story. The richness of the vocabulary along with the content of the story meant that many of the children in my class gained a great deal from it. (Reception class teacher)
