Skandar and the Unicorn Thief is a super fun, fantasy adventure. Skandar, a boy from the mainland, has always wanted to hatch a unicorn. But when the hatchery door opens for him he suddenly finds himself in a world full of magic, friendship, and all sorts of dangerous surprises. The unicorns aren’t just majestic — they are bloodthirsty and powerful, which makes the story even more exciting. The book mixes thrilling action with humor and heart, so it’s not just about sky battles and magic but also about friendship. Perfect for anyone who loves magical worlds, daring adventures, and a bit of humor along the way. Skandar and the Unicorn Thief is pure magic from start to finish! Fast-paced, full of clever twists, and with unicorns that are anything but ordinary, it’s impossible not to get hooked. Skandar is brave, funny, and relatable, and the adventure is just nonstop fun. I cant stop reading it.
Skandar and the Unicorn Thief is the first of an incredible series of books that make you turn the page. It’s about an island that has unicorns, and a “mainland” that, on the mainland, people's dream is to get to the island. It’s a gripping page turner that has you second guessing everything you’ve found out. The whole series (Skandar and the Unicorn Thief, Skandar and the Phantom Rider, Skandar and the Chaos Trials, Skandar and the Skeleton Curse, and Skandar and the Spirit War) is incredible, and worth reading. I would recommend this book and series to anyone 10+ who likes fantasy and deadly unicorns. A page turner with an Interesting story line. You want to keep reading and when you finish the series, you will find yourself upset that it’s over.
In this book, unicorns are seen as bloodthirsty creatures and during the chaos cup, a unicorn race, the Weaver makes an appearance and steals the strongest unicorn in the world, New-Age Frost. The book focuses on Skandar, a normal boy who lives on the Mainland, is ready to take the Hatchery exam until he gets banned from taking part in it. On the night of the exam, he gets smuggled to the Island by a mysterious person, Agatha. There at the Island, he discovers his unicorn, his allied element, his friends and his past... This book brought a whole new perspective to unicorns, and so I loved it overall!
