Story
When young Sétanta arrived late to a feast at Culann's house, he encountered and defeated the host's fierce guard dog in self-defence. To make amends, Sétanta offered to guard Culann's home until a replacement hound could be trained. His bravery earned him the name Cú Chulainn—meaning "Culann's Hound." He grew to become a legendary warrior capable of battling entire armies single-handedly.

Cú Chulainn is a central figure in the Ulster Cycle, a collection of Irish myths and legends dating back to the 1st century. Cú Chulainn remains one of Ireland's most celebrated mythological heroes.
