Story
A crow finds a piece of cheese and flies up to a branch to eat it. A hungry fox sees the cheese and wants it for himself. But the crow is perched out of reach. The fox flatters the crow by praising its beauty and lovely voice. The crow begins to sing. The cheese falls, and the fox triumphantly takes it.

Why we chose it
Children enjoy animal fables which is why they are often used to teach moral lessons. This classic fable is great to retell, act out and use to inspire children to write animal fables of their own.
