Story
The Infinite follows Elle Bíbi-Imbelé Ifíè, a 12-year-old Leapling — one of the very rare children born on 29 February with the power to leap through time. On the brink of her first official leap during a school trip to 2048, Elle receives a mysterious SOS text from the future. With her math-savvy best friend Big Ben and a vibrant gang of other leap-gifted kids, she must unravel the mystery of disappearing Leaplings and confront forces bent on bending time itself. Along the way there’s friendship, bravery, bright humour and lots of clever twists!

Why we chose it
A clever time-travelling story that gives a compelling voice to a neurodiverse Black heroine, with both heart and humour. The book is fun and adventurous, but also gently thoughtful about identity, difference and the future we’re building together.

It has a really good plot and will keep you guessing until the very end, and its really impactful because it's not set too long away from 2025, so it's like, will it actually be like this almost a decade ahead? It's a really good book!
