Twitch loves birds and birdwatching. He has three chickens, four pigeons and swallows nesting in his bedroom. He is looking forward to spending the summer in his birdwatching hide in the nature reserve but when he gets there on the first day of the holidays he finds the police are there looking for an escaped prisoner. Twitch’s birdwatching skills make him an ideal detective.

Great book, and I've also loved birds and have loved to watch them soar in the sky, so this book was overall exhilarating. I'd recommend it to bird-lovers and people ages 10+ (Ethan, age 12)

Corvus (Twitch) is an avid bird watcher. He has 3 chickens in his garden, 4 pigeons in his room, and a family of swallows just outside his window. His friends are his birds. Then, at the start of the summer holidays, Twitch goes down to his secret hide in Aves Wood to find police officers everywhere. A robber has broken out of a nearby prison and is suspected to be hiding in Aves Wood with a stolen £5 million. Can Twitch make some friends and solve the mystery before it is too late? A unique story of birds, friendship and love. This was an extremely good book, but I thought that the mystery might need some more plot twists and a few more suspicious characters.
In this book, Twitch has always been a bird lover and protects the nature in Aves Wood, when in the news there is a person who has broken out of prison and lurks in Aves Wood. Can Twitch use his knowledge of birds to outwit an escaped convict?? Great book, and I've also loved birds and have loved to watch them soar in the sky, so this book was overall exhilarating. I'd recommend it to bird-lovers and people ages 10+. (BTW I've read the rest of the series, they were great!)
